इस्लामाबाद: पाकिस्तान के विदेश मंत्रालय ने गुरुवार को साफ किया कि करतारपुर गुरुद्धारे आने वाले श्रद्धालुओं को पासपोर्ट लाने से छूट दी गई है और वे अगले एक साल तक बिना पासपोर्ट करतारपुर यात्रा कर सकेंगे। मंत्रालय ने कहा है कि पाकिस्तान ने बाबा गुरु नानक के 550वें प्रकाशोत्सव के अवसर पर श्रद्धालुओं के लिए सद्भावना के तहत यह फैसला किया है।

गौरतलब है कि करतारपुर कॉरीडोर को लेकर पाकिस्तान कई पैंतरे अपना चुका है। सिखों की असीम आस्था वाले करतारपुर कॉरिडोर को गुरु नानक देव के 550वें प्रकाश पर्व पर खोला जा रहा है। पाकिस्तान ने करतारपुर कॉरीडोर को लेकर एक नया यू टर्न लिया था और पाकिस्तानी आर्मी की तरफ से बिल्कुल उलट बयान आया था। पाक आर्मी के प्रवक्ता मेजर जनरल आसिफ गफूर ने कहा था कि करतारपुर आने वाले सिख तीर्थयात्रियों के पास पार्सपोर्ट होना जरूरी है।

गौरतलब है कि इससे पहले पाकिस्तान के प्रधानमंत्री इमरान खान ने कहा था कि इस साल 12 नवंबर को मनाए जाने वाले बाबा गुरु नानक के प्रकाशोत्सव के अवसर पर करतारपुर आने वाले श्रद्धालुओं के लिए पासपोर्ट की बाध्यता नहीं होगी। लेकिन, इसके बाद सेना के प्रवक्ता ने यह बयान दिया था कि करतारपुर आने वाले श्रद्धालुओं को अपने साथ पासपोर्ट लाना होगा।
