Dwadashi fast on June 11: Worshiping Lord Vishnu on this day and bathing and donating in a pilgrimage is as good as performing Ashwamedha Yagya: Swami Ram Bhajan Van

To show favor to someone is a symbol of the fact that the help done is not a favor. This is called Trivikram Dwadashi. By observing fast on this day, physical problems are removed. Along with this, the sins committed knowingly or unknowingly also end. The law of fasting on this day is mentioned in the scriptures. The literal meaning of fasting is Upa means near and Vaas means to be near. That is, fasting is to feel close to God by giving up food and all pleasures.

Bathing and donating is equal to Ashwamedha Yagya
There is a tradition of taking bath in any holy river including Ganga and Yamuna on the Dwadashi date of Shukla Paksha of Jyeshtha month. On this date, worshiping Lord Vishnu after mixing sesame seeds in Yamuna water in Mathura, then donating sesame seeds along with water and food gives the same virtue as performing the Ashwamedha Yagya.

Virtue of Gomedh Yagya by fasting
While fasting on the Dwadashi Tithi of Shukla Paksha of Jyeshtha month, there is a law to worship and perform Abhishek to Lord Vishnu. Abhishek should be done by filling water and milk in Tulsi leaves and conch shell. By doing this one gets the same virtue as performing Gomedh Yagya.

The tradition of bathing with sesame water before sunrise on the Dwadashi of Jyeshtha month and then worshiping Lord Vishnu is mentioned in the scriptures. After bathing on this date, wear white or yellow clothes and worship Lord Vishnu with sixteen types of things. On this day, along with Panchamrit, a special method has been told to anoint God by mixing milk and water in conch shell. After this, offer tulsi leaves and apply naivedya of mango or other seasonal fruits.
To show favor to someone is a symbol of the fact that the help given is not a favor, the work of the good of others should be done selflessly. If one’s favor is praised, then that help cannot be called a favor. If you want to be successful then keep enthusiasm, there is no greater power than enthusiasm and big problems can be overcome with this power.
